As senior project manager for Louis Vuitton Asia Pacific, Karen Mak was in charge of the design development, project management, procurement and construction of the super- sized Louis Vuitton Trunks used as hoarding during the construction of new Louis Vuitton stores in Landmark Hong Kong, Shanghai Plaza 66, Hangzhou Tower and the Hong Kong International Airport.  For this particular super-sized trunk, the classic proportions of a Louis Vuitton luggage piece were enlarged over 1000 times while still closely maintaining all its intricate details. The unexpected use of the trunk as both hoarding and advertising became a spectacle within itself.  This particular trunk, used in the Hangzhou Tower, was the "Damier Beauty Case".
