Karen Mak was the project manager overseeing the program, budget and construction of the Shanghai Global Store in Plaza 66 which was expanded from 2,000 sq.ft. to 20,000 sq.ft. The project included a variety of complex design features such as an intricate LV motif plaster ceiling, a double-skin glass façade and a mechanically-fastened LV flower pattern aluminum screen wrapped around the central feature stair. The store also touts a one-of-a-kind watch and jewelry display area and elaborate private VIP rooms to cater to exclusive customers. These elegant features required full scale mock-ups to be built prior to final installation.
