dkstudio architects inc. was appointed as the executive architect for the Louis Vuitton flagship store and temporary men's pop-up shop within Yorkdale Shopping Centre; with the latter completed while the flagship store design was still under development.
The pop-up shop's box design, with metal corners and clasps, mimics the famous Louis Vuitton trunk. The enclosure consists of see through acrylic cladding with colorful reflections, featuring Louis Vuitton logos and flower patterns identical to patterns on a Louis Vuitton trunk.
The Louis Vuitton Pop-up shop was assembled in Yorkdale's Holt Renfrew store, neighboring the existing Louis Vuitton space within Holt Renfrew. The pop-up store was completed in 2019, and remained in operation until the completion of the Louis Vuitton flagship store in 2020.
