Luxury Retail

In this tour de force work of architecture and interior design, Karen Mak was the Chief Project Manager who oversaw planning, budgeting, and supervision of a Louis Vuitton store that redefined the nature of high-end retail design in Hong Kong and China.

This 20,000sqft store, which underwent a complete renovation while continuing non-stop operation, completely transformed a prominent corner of a busy commercial street in the fast-paced metropolis. Karen managed a team of high-profile international consultants, architects and designers including Peter Marina ans Jun Aoki. Aoki's inventive facade consisted of over 13000 aluminium blades in different shades and colours, forming Louis Vuitton's signature Damier pattern, and is the highlight of the exterior, while the LED laden feature staircase, a 50ft long bag bar with highly decorative shimmering Louis Vuitton LED flower and sculpted LV motif panels, are some of the unique highlights of the interior.
