Karen Mak was the project manager overseeing programme, budget and construction of the Shanghai Global Store in Plaza 66 which was expanded from 2,000 s.f. to 20,000 s.f. The project included a variety of complex design features such as an intricate LV motif plaster ceiling, a double-skin glass facade and a mechanically-fastened LV flower pattern aluminum screen wrapped around the central feature stair. The store also touts a one-of-a-kind watch and jewellery display area and elaborate private VIP rooms to cater to exclusive customers. These elegant features required full scale mock-ups to be built prior to final installation.
